Default Kooks Stepped 1-3/4 to 1-7/8 vs QTP 1-3/4 HVM

Has anybody tested these yet with a big cam? I know Kooks recommends 1-3/4 stepped to 1-7/8 for big cams, and QTP offers the High Velocity Merge on its 1-3/4" for gains, but are there any real benefits over just a 1-3/4" header? The price of these is well north of $1k so I was just curious if there were any actual performance improvements?

i gained lots of power from going from a jethot/hooker Y setup to a QTP HVM header and True merge Y...
well worth it IMO
