Default LTs into purple hornies hedder mufflers?

Ive been thinking about doing this on my TA. Just running the pacesetter LTs into the purple hornies hedder mufflers(that you find in jegs or summit) turned out near the back of each door.
Any comments on this, good or bad idea?
would this kill torque?
Anyone else done it?

I think the lack of a H/X or y will hurt low end, but will not hurt in the top end.

ooo shouldnt have went with the PH's. Heres why:

It is best to avoid mufflers with a louvered core. Many old-school glass packs suffer from this design flaw. The louvers generate quite a bit of backpressure; they stick into the exhaust stream and create turbulence. Even though these mufflers are a straight-through design, they can have more backpressure than a stock muffler. When buying a straight-through muffler, look for one with a perforated core to produce more power. A good, properly sized, perforated-core, straight-through muffler will add only about 1 to 2 psi of backpressure to your exhaust system.

PH's are louvered...

If you insist on a glasspack then try a Dynomax Thrush Magnum
