Exhaust question.
ok, im wanting to know the diameter of the inlet pipe on the stock muffler of a 2000 camaro SS. is the inlet 3 inch or 2.5? im wanting to know because my car already has the slp dual dual tips but not the muffler. and versus buying a cat back for just the muffler, im gonna try to purchase the dual/dual muffler on its own but SLP said to make sure my inlet was 3 inch. not sure if it is, dont have calipers to tell. can anyone help me out?

If your car did not have the OE dual/dual then your I-pipe is 2.75".
If you're unsure because the muffler has been replaced, check the I-pipe. If it is a solid pipe then it's 2.75", base exhaust and someone changed the tips. If it's clamped together before the bend over the axle, then it's probably the OE dual/dual that's 3", and someone just swaped mufflers.

its solid...do you guys think i could flange it out to make it fit the 3 inch inlet? also, how much would this restrict power...i know between 2 and a half and 3 there isnt much but...ya know...just checking incase this is one of those 'special circumstances'?
