Default Edelbrock Victor Intake?

Has anyone heard any good/bad things about the new edelbrock victor carb'd intake for the LS1's? I might be picking up a complete 6.0 that was in a bad fire so all the polymer parts are melted and Im going to need a new intake for it. Its going in a '74 Nova so emissions are out the window and I just thought about running a carb to get past all the expensive *** EFI crap since I wont have it all from the start. Im going to be aiming for 500hp to the wheels on motor and a big shot of nitrous on top of that.

if you are wanting 500 at the wheels, i wouldnt buy a running motor, IMO.
you are gonna need a built motor. heads, cam and cubes.

i run the GM intake on my car(very similar) with good results.
