Default Is y-pipe nessesary with true duels/longtubes headers

Hi, sorry if this is a stuped question but I just bought a 2000 t/a ws6 and it has a custom made x-pipe true duels setup, and I was wanting to put longtube headers on it, i'll probably keep the cats, but get the high flow ones. my question is do i also need to buy a y-pipe with the headers? my old car didn't have true duels but I had headers and I know i needed a y-pipe there but with the true duels i'm not sure.

If you keep the true duals no. I maye have to have the pipes extended to fit though.
