Default POLL: New Cats and need help deciding

I have Mac headers and cats right now but I keep throwing a P0430 and P0420 code. It is not the O2 and it is either the Cat or the tune (or lack of).

I am either gonna replace the one with a Mac cat again or do a replacement of both cats with the Magnaflow carsound cats.

So, which would you do?

They do, id get the carsound cats, thats what I went with when my mac cats blew out. Didnt feel a real noticable gain but from the posts ive seen they flow better so thats the direction i would go.

That is what I have read here (that car sounds are better than Mac cats and Mac cats are no better than stock). But I found it interesting when I found a Magnaflow dealer that he would say they all flow about the same and make no noticable difference.

I have the carsound (magnaflow) cats w/ my Kooks headers. Why don't you just delete the rear O2's or get sims.

If i was going to run cats i would go with the carsound cats. Ive heard they have the most free flowing design.

i had those carsound (magnaflow) cats on my car. bassani used to use them for their cats until they started making their own. my right one collapsed on me. now i have the bassani made cats. they are cone shaped instead of rectangular. better velocity through the bassani version now.

carsound

bassani comes in 2.5" and 3". notice it's round and cones down in the back.

2 out of the 3 carsound cats installed/replaced on my car blew out. Carsound do flow well, and even better when you consider there's a good chance they'll blow out

The Magnaflow dealer by me suggested some stainless steel cats that flow as well or better than the carsound and are supposed to last much longer because of the stainless steel design. Also, he said they are Magnaflows and they are 4".

I have not heard of them before but it sounds like a bullet design the way he described them and they take less space.

Has anyone heard of these? They sound like the Basani above in appearance.

Well, I went with "Thunderbolt" cats and was told they flow better than carsound (from a magnaflow dealer). I have pics and will be doing another dyno either this Saturday or shortly.
