Muffler Inlet Question Just a quick and probably stupid question....if I am going for a 3" inlet on a hooker muffler but I have one with a 2.5" inlet can I have the muffler shop expand the pipe to adapt to 3" and still receive the same gain as I would with one that has a 3" inlet to begin with? I was just curious if the inlet/outlet only had to deal with the out diameter of the pipes and nothing internally in the muffler. I am probably confusing myself but needed some help.
