All you guys trying to decide between an X-pipe & H-pipe, CHECK THIS OUT!
I have 3" td's, but they're not madrel bent, so.....instead of cutting up my exhaust or starting over, I found this scavenger pipe from Flowmaster. Its a D-shape design, and its sort of a cross between a X-pipe and H-pipe. You'll notice in the second pic how its expanded and angle-cut inside to form the D-shape you see on the outside.
FWIW,(dont know why I did this?) I held a hair dryer to the passenger side inlet, and it created a suction on the driver side inlet strong enough to hold up 1/2 of a sheet of notebook paper. So I would imagine that it scavenges pretty good. Maybe this is like having the best of both (X & H). I'll be the guinea pig on this one, its gettin installed Fri., I'll keep you updated.

BTW, the cut-out part in the middle (that joins the two pipes) looks decieving in the pics, its about 2 in. wide by 3 in. tall., so its not as restrictive as it may look

I was thinking about this as well. Looks like it'll fit nice with my Spohn torque arm. One thing I'm wondering about tho, can't tell if it's just the pic or what, but it looks like there is a gap between the two pipes on each side, like where exhaust gas could get trapped in there and cause problems with the flow.

this makes me excited because i might be able to have TD's after all...
my BMR Xtreme TA is in the way of the x and H pipe...
this would make it much shorter... it would be sweet to exit the mufflers right beside the SFC conecter on both sides..
i want several pics please

I saw this at the Flowmaster booth at the HOT ROD POWER TOUR yesterday in Birmingham,Al. This is a nice piece, but i kid you not, it felt like 25 lbs. Post up pics of it installed when it's done.

ok, got everything installed. heres the breakdown:
inside noise: quieter than the X-pipe
outside/idle: same loudness, but better tone
WOT: louder and deeper!
overall: less noise on the inside, and deeper badass tone on the outside
I picked up about a 1/2 inch more clearance, and didnt notice any sotp gain or loss, so overall I'm happy. Pics coming soon!
