Default ASP Pulley=solid 0.1 improvement

Improved ET from previous best of 12.658@109.67 to new best of 12.544@110.08. No other change. It definately helped my 60 ft. =1.865 with stock converter. Overall, I'm pleased with the mod!

Nobody care? Just wanted to share the positive results. Most of the guys that install a pulley do it with a cam swap. I didn't come across many pulley-only track results on this board. My results confirm what many others have estimated the improvements to be.

I like hearing it. I just did mine and the biggest noticible difference for me has come in low RPM performance in the higher gears. For example when I'm pulling in 6th I notice a lot more by stepping on the gas than I did before assuming I don't downshift. Like any mod, it felt a lot better when I first did it, then it kind of settled into the car, either the PCM tried to compensate for it and ended up trying to negate the effects, or I just got used to it...

Either way it is a good mod.

IIRC, 1.89-1.90. And hitting a 1.89 was difficult. It seems 1.8s are a bit easier now with the pulley.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Damn! That thing makes silly MPH in the 1/8. The best N/A MPH I've ever busted in the 1/8 was 89.39 after checking my old timeslips. What was the DA like both times you ran?

Thanks. That little cam pulls the first half real good. I used to track DA a few years ago. Most of the times throughout the year the DA would be between 700 & 1500. Of course there were much better and worst during atypical weather. I haven't been tracking it lately, but the weather has been typical for the last few track nights.

Hey, you're running low 12s NA! Way to go! I remember when we both were trying to break out of the 13s. Congrats on that 11 too!

like you said, "we dont care" cuz we dont have one .. we a bunch of haters

Did you compare the DA between the two passes?

Underdrive pullies are normally worth 0.1 and 1 mph.

Good to hear.

So the DA was a little bit worst on the night of the runs with the pulley. The temps & humidity in Hawaii aren't the greatest for racing.

I have the newer SLP, ASP's are too hard to get they are on backorder everywhere and have been for some time, it seems.

ok, I'll confess, I got it on ebay for $55
It is the older style ASP and has been sitting on my shelf for a year. I think the SLP pulley would deliver similar gains. Sorry, no comparo.

Good report. Pulleys on LS1s always show gains at the track. Sometimes not on the dyno, but always at the track. Nice going.
