Depends on what mods you are planning on doing afterwards. If your going to keep stock internals and headers, go with the LM.
However, when you start doing the heavy modding (cams/heads/headers) the LM doesnt sound so great anymore. Come up with a tangible plan as to what you want to do to your car(every mod) and then go from there.

Hooker has a muscular exhaust note but is really quiet. While the loudmouth is a lot louder and aggressive. The loudmouth exhaust note could be better which is why I replaced my resonator with a sweethunder pipe. And if you decide to get longtubes and an off road y pipe in the future get the hooker. The loudmouth would be to loud.

I have a hooker and it was really quiet with the stock manifolds until you floor it. Once I got my longtubes and off road Y pipe it really woke it up. It sounds awesome now, not too loud at idle, but whenever you give it any gas it sounds wicked. No rasp either which I heard the loudmouth would have a good bit of with longtubes. Like everyone else said if you stay stock get the loudmouth, but if you want to mod get the hooker.

I've got the Hooker with the SLP Y pipe and I love it. Quiet idle, no rasp or drone, very refined yet loud when you hold 'er to the carpet! I didn't realize how good my car sounded until I heard it from behind with someone else driving it-sounds like a muscle car should, yet it's easy to live with for an everyday driver.

I have a hooker catback. I am a little dissapointed with the volume when combined with a stock Y-Pipe, but I think after replacing it with an ORY I will be much happier with it. I do alot of highway driving and its nice to barely hear your car until you stomp on it then it sounds MEAN.

redbeast what kind of sweet thunder did you replace the LM with? A single chambered muffler flows pretty bad, i considered that setup but alot of people recommended not to do it. Hows it workin out for you?

To me it made a big difference with exhaust note. Throaty and deep. Performance wise I did not notice any decrease compared with the original resonator. I still got some rasp but not like before. Its still loud but with a deep throaty muscular sound.
