I saw on ebay some guy was selling muffler delete kits. Basically it was one large pipe with another pipe welded to it, so that you unbolted the muffler, and bolted this piping in its place. Keeping the tailpipes.

I deleted the muffler on my 98 T/A and my 02 Z-28. We fabbed up a y-pipe, really looked more like a 'T' with a 90 degree bend at the bottom, and placed it where the muffler was. The easiest thing would be to get a regular y pipe and split the pipes like the loudmouth does. I'm not sure how the guy you saw had his done..sounds like you'd need more than a socket set to make it work b/c you have to get rid of the muffler somehow.

you could just unhook your y pipe from your exhaust pipe and keep them hanging with some clamps so they dont fall. Its like 2 bolts and you're done. And you keep your tail pipes but thats just for appearance tho cuz its unhooked remember!?

i just noticed you have duals!! i ran my car w/ the muffler unhooked for a few months on stock manifolds and cats and loved it til I got my duals. The duals and headers blow that !muffler mod way out!! With the !muffler you'll get a lot of rasp that sounds like *** around certain low rpm's. Sounds awesome when you're on the gas tho. If i were you I wouldnt go thru all that trouble if you have duals on it already.
