Default FAST 90mm on my combo - what will I gain?

I know it is impossible to give an exact number but approx how much power would I gain by upgrading from my ported stock TB and LS6 intake to a full 90mm FAST combo? My mods are: 346ci, 11:1, AFR 205, 224/228, headers, hi-flow cats.

Thanks

I pretty much have the same combo as you and just added the 90\90 and the AFR's. I would also say between 10-15 maybe more?

Too bad, I was hoping a solid 15-20whp with my combo. At $1000 or more I will have to rethink this mod. If the dyno only showed 10rwhp I'd be sad.

Who makes the best 90mm TB these days? Are guys using the LS2 TB?

I can't find NW in the sponsor list. Anyone have the mfg's website or a link to the best vendor that sells them?

I am going to bite the bullet and get this combo...FAST 90MM and the NW 90mm TB.

What MAF do I need to take advantage of this combo? Currently running the stock '02 F-body MAF. Will a larger MAF add much power? I heard these cars are a PITA to tune with larger MAFs True?

Speed Inc has them as well as Texas Speed.

Went from an LS6 intake/stock ported TB to a FAST 90mm intake/TPIS 90mm TB, and picked up 11 rwhp on the OLD tune.

End results after a few minor edit tweaks: 27 rwhp/ 17 rwtq. gained netting 457/423 NA.

Your results may vary.

I dont think it is a cost efficent mod lol $1000 20rwhp at a high rpm id rather spend the money on suspention or spraying it...

I won't say it's cost efficient. However, if you are going all out, eventually you're going to move into the direction of a 90mm. If you have the funds and it doesn't pinch you too hard, go ahead with it. I bought my setup from TEA. Call up Brent. He'll take care of you!

Nice numbers Your 383 probably needs the 90mm more than my 346 but I am still hopeful that I can get 20rwhp from the FAST 90 + NW TB.

Anyone have info on my MAF questions?

The old big difference w/ the FAST manifold over the LS6 is it is nitrous friendly. You can easily add direct port N2O jets. That and it comes w/ optional burst pannels and a choice of TB opening sizes. It has about the same flow qualities as an LS6 manifold.

I was looking into the NX or another TB (for down the road mods)similar to what was discussed above. It looks like a mean piece!

If you gained 10 rwhp but picked up 3 mph at the track would it still be worth it to you? I think you should look for more track results for gains instead of JUST dyno numbers IMO anyway.

i gained .2 and 2mph..over my old setup....on the average, different runs on different days and weather conditions.. it was an ok investment for the money..but i figured it was a mod that i could always use in what ever direction i took the ca n2o or more cubes etc etc...

Thanks but I am using the dyno as my guideline not 1/4 mile runs.

Anyone else with 346ci, mild cam, 90mm dyno results?
