Default Ram Air on Firehawk question

I was installing a new Ram Air lowershroud on my 98 T/A last night and realized how much larger the opening is than a non ram air.My question is can I put on of these on my Firehawk or will there hood clearence issues.Or does it even make that big of a difference?

THe WS-6 lower airbox will only work with the WS-6 hood, and the Ultra Z hood. I don't know if it has been tried on the aftermarket WS-6 hoods, but it may work. It may also work with the aftermarket SLP Firebird/TA hood. It does not work on Z28, Firebird/Formula/TA/Firehawk, or SS hoods. Any gains will probably be negligible. I friend of mine has swapped it back and forth with his stock one, and the differences were small.

So It probably would sit up to high for my Firehawk hood?

I herd that it will work on a firehawk hood.

If you look at the outlets on the underside of the Firehawk hood you'll see that the openings aren't as tall as the WS6 hood so you won't need the higher opening on the lower air box. Just add a supercharger and forget about the airbox.

It will fit, but the gains will be minimal, if you realize any gains at all. Get the FTRA, and It will be better than the Firehawk "Ram Air"
