Default slp 85 mm maf or not??

I am currently running a stock maf with cut posts and no screen.
the maf ends are home ported. my car seems to not be running as good as it should.
If i go with an SLP 85 mm maf should my car run better or is there a better
choice?

thanks

i have tr224 cam 6 speed. Lt's stock Ls1 intake.

No need for that MAF unless you're running heads/cam with a 90mm intake. The reason your car may not be running well is because you ported your MAF ends. Find a set of unported ones and put them on, the most I would do is descreen it.

You'd probably be best off running a stock, non-ported/non-descreened MAF. The reason you gain with an aftermarket MAF and/or modified stock MAF is because it tricks the computer into running leaner, not because it flows more. Just get a good tune on the stock MAF, and you will run better/smoother and your gains will not be from "tricking" your car.
