Default Increased Heat with Headers?

Just as the title says, do headers create more heat under the hood? Ive heard people complaining about their starters goin on the fritz after a header install due to the heat.

Thoughts? Comments?

I dont think so, maybe with the uncoated headers but I still doubt it. I know atleast I have not had any problems like that. So I would not worry about it.
