How much can I expect to pay.......
Gents- got a quick question how much do you think I am going to be shelling out ($$$ wise) to the Dealer to have them install, Kooks Headers, Catted Y and SLP LM? Would I be better off going to a private shop? I am planning on having these things installed in Sept (and I am not home right now to get an estimate) but any help is greatly appreciated.

Hold up there Ghost Rider, you don't wanna go to a dealer for that. For one thing they will obviously know that your car has headers installed, so that can be jerks and void your waranty right there if they wanted to. That is if you still have them, for another thing they charge quite a bit more than a private shop. At a dealer you can expect 500$ labor but a private shop you can probably get it done for 350$. They will do equivelant work of each other. At least that's how it is in my neck of the woods. But the decision is ultimately yours.

I asked the service rep guy at the counter in the dealership about it and he said "No its just exhaust work, It wont ruin your warranty." So I take it he is just BS-ing me?? If he is that's jacked up.

Welcome to the world of auto dealerships, a good friend of mine was a top seller at hid dealership in Oklahoma city, man you wouldn't believe some of the schemes these places have. Personally the only time I go to one is to look at cars or buy one. Or if the car is untouched get them to hold up their end of the warranty.

I won't even let the dealer wash my car let alone install headers. Do the install yourself and save a lot of money. It's not that hard, just time consuming. You'll thank yourself for it. BTW, the dealer will likely charge much more than $500. You'll probably be looking at close to $700. You gotta figure the install will take them about 5 hours at the GM labor rate of $130 / hr (I think).
Just do it yourself, that way you'll know it's done right.

Yeah just remember to jack that sucker up high! And jack stands my friend, NEVER get under a car that doesn't have jack stands under it. There's plenty of install help guides out there, or just ask one of us if you need help.
FHAWK02 I'm in Baghdad right now, but should be home for good in about a week.
