Default Any tips/helpful hints for alternator pulley removal?

Last weekend I got under the car w/ an impact and the nut didn't even budge. The stud looks like it has a provision for a torx bit to go in it. What am I doing wrong? I've used this same impact on plenty of other cars and it knock the nut loose w/o a problem.

I can't remember if I used a band wrench or if I just wrapped an old serpentine belt around the pulley and used a big set of channel locks. Either way, you should be able to get it off with either method.

I know I'm not the only one to ever attempt to install an over/under drive alternator pulley on before.

Tried that today... no dice. I think at this point I just need to break down and buy a new alternator.
