Default Granatelli Plug wires over 15 rwhp gain??

Ok, first of all Granatelli in their add claims 12hp which really doesn't mean much to me, but according to Chevy Hi-performance Sept 2005 they got over 15 rwhp peak and over 17 rwtq peak over stock wires on a Mustang chassis dyno is this for real??

Yes, I agree and I don't believe it but those are pretty stout claims for the magazine to be making

Only way that happened is if one of the old wires was cut into.

What really happened was they pulled off one of the spark plug wires before testing

If someone actually belives there claim there just as bad as the publishers.
What a crock of ****.
Maybe the editor is formerly a Ricer magazine editor and his followed old habits, you no like how those GReddy stickers on the front fenders add 20HP and an extra 2 psi of boost.

That's because it is too good to be true. You won't find this claim backed.

That is what I'm thinking. Only Granatelli and CHP. The original plug wires on that truck must have been burnt to a crisp if it got 15hp.

I noticed that back in that Lid comparison test they did they were very slanted towards Granatelli, CHP is definitely "in bed" with....

what is a realistic gain (if any) from upgrading your wires/plugs on a bolt on car? is it worth it? what about ignition ie. MSD - is that for higher HP cars?

I don't think it was 15hp i believe it was 8hp and 7ft-lbs. The 15 i believe was with another mod(I think it was an intake) plus the wires. These wires supposidly have a solid core and only have like .02 ohms resistance where the stockers had 8.0omhs resistance. I can't find my chp mag but I believe that is the correct info or at least closer.

They won't even give you the 8hp and 7ft/lbs. The only way a set of "performance wires" will add hp/tq is if your existing wires are not functioning (either burnt, or cut to the wire). A set of wires is just not going to give you any extra power. They might look nice under your hood, but that's about it.
