best 2002 ls1 Intake Man. for the $?

Default best 2002 ls1 Intake Man. for the $?

whose got some good ideas as to which intake manifold i should be shooting for...
a lot of people go with the ls6 intake..but doesnt the 2002 ls1 have something like that???
just wondering...
ive got the volant...id like to complete it with a nice manifold and perhaps a ported TB, MAF etc....

yes, 01 + 02 models came with the ls6 intake. stick with that and port your TB.
your stock MAF is good enough.

cool, when you say port the throttle body, what does that entail...and how should i go about doing that...or should i have it done professionally?? When it is ported what size does it become over the stock 75mm, or does it stay the same?

not sure on the throttle body size. just a ported one is cleaned up better. makes the air move better into the intake. you can also upgrade your LS6 intake manifold for a LSX type manifold, or a wieland/lingenfelter aluminum piece. I would go for an LSX intake. but it all depends on what you are looking to do. by the way they do make 80mm throttle bodies and also 90mm throttle bodies. but the 90mm's need adapters to work

looks like your car is a 2002...... well than you allready have an LS6 intake..... just leave it at that! maybe throw on a BBk 80mm or just port it your self...
