well you have a 2002, so your car didn't come with EGR...done

For AIR, you have to disconnect the tubes to your exhaust manifolds, then install plates to block them off. Then remove all the tubes and AIR pump. You'll have to block off a junction near the rear of the intake manifold as well. You will also need to get your car's computer edited to stop SES codes from appearing.

you will loose some weight off of your front end, and it cleans the engine up a little bit. Yeah race style headers will be what you want. Search the site for how to remove AIR and EGR.

Shouldn't be that difficult. Advantages are little less weight, and if you want a cleaner looking engine bay.

FYI, removing them won't give you any more power. Although the EGR puts exhaust gasses back into the intake, it shuts off at WOT. As for the AIR, I still don't know what it does. Maybe take hot exhaust gas and pump it into the engine at startup to warm the engine up quicker? I dunno.

The AIR simply pumps outside air and runs them over the cats trying to get them up to normal operation quicker. If you've removed or somehow disabled your cats you won't need the AIR to begin with. The biggest advantage for me was to get those damn tubes out of the way when I'm doing something under the hood...it's a worthwhile mod unless you live in a state that restricts you from performing it.
