I have one on my V6 (Borla exhaust). I got it because I was tired of lying under my car in the rain to put the close off plates on/off. I only have one complaint with it - after a few open/close's it doesn't exactly close perfectly any more. There's some kind of leak around the butterfly valve and you can hear it inside and outside the car. In the instalation instructions it tells how to fix this with a sealant, but I don't have any around the house and I never think to buy any when the auto store's open.
Asside from that leak, it's a great thing. I like it overall.

I was thinking about getting the y-pipe that includes 2 electric cutouts. I've heard that many people think that it's too expensive, but that hasnt turned me away just yet. I know that during installation one would have to slice the little rubber stopper thing under the passenger side of the car. Will all the wires that are included reach from directly past the headers to the stopper and then into the car?
Any opinions on this setup?

uh.... if he had true duels... then what would he have duel cutouts for....
the duel cutout set up is great, for cars that dispalce bigger then stock cubes, and want to keep a quiet exhast on the street but make killer power at the track...
if you are stock cubes, then 1 cutout is plenty and you wont see any gain going to duel cutouts...

If I had true duals I wouldnt need the y-pipe. The y-pipe is what includes the cutouts. It comes pre-fabbed. That's the only reason I want it. It's LTs, and y-pipe including the cutouts OR LTs and then a y-pipe, then a cutout, and installation of the cutout into the y-pipe.
My thoughts:
1)QTP LTs- with EGR fittings, O2 sims and extensions and the installation junk= ~$900
2)QTP y-pipe including 2 QTECS (cutouts) $650
3)Installation of it all= $????
OR
1) same as above
2)y-pipe $335 i think
3)QTEC $190
4)installation of QTEC into the y-pipe= $???
5)installation of headers and y-pipe= same as above.
which will be cheaper overall?

Before I got my Kooks on GP, I was lookin at QTP and the dual cut out Y and I was told that you might will lose alot of torque down low. I dont know if it is true, but just offering you what I was told. Good luck with it.
