Default EGR Gasket sucked into intake

Just did a header job. During the course of the job I lost the EGR pipe gasket that goes into the intake manifold. Since, I have purchased two OEM gaskets from Pontiac. Every single time I go WOT now the right side of the gasket gets pulled down the pipe towards the intake. Is it possible I don't have the right gasket? Is there anything I can do with this. It's really annoying.

I had the same problem when I cut the egr tube. Every time I wacked it to WOT it would suck in the gasket and make it crooked . Its a bitch, but just keep bending the EGR tube until it almost sits flat in the manifold without bolting it down. Just have to really make sure its sitting flat. It think the problem is because Gm only wanted to use one bolt to hold it in. If there were 2 it wouldnt be an issue.

Ya, thanks for the info, I will try bending the pipe first, then the RTV, worst case scenario I will delete it.

Ya, Im just pissed because I bought the damn EGR and AIR headers, hindsight being 20/20 I should have gotten the race headers.
