Default WS-6 Exhaust Question...

Other than the tips, is the WS-6 exhaust system any different than a regular T/A?

pipes are .25" wider and the muffler I beleive is different. For stock it is actually pretty decent.

the ws6 catback is different like danno said, i believe on the ws6 its mendrel bent pipe (which i dont nkow if the ta might be as well or not) the pipes are slightly bigger and the muffler flows a little better

Actually, from what I've gathered all LS1 F-bodies have the same catback, with the tips being the only difference. But I'm no expert on these cars... yet.

The exhaust is in fact different from your standard TA or Z28 exhaust for that matter. An SS also has a similar setup to the WS6. It is not just the tips.

The ws6 exhaust flows pretty well though, most aftermarket catbacks only give you a few more ponies. Throw a catback on a non WS6 Ta though and you might get a good 15hp to the wheels.

Yes the y-pipe sucks on all factory cars, because of the one flat side.
