Default SLP Lid is on......

Since I had the whole deal out of the way to put in my water pump, I put on an SLP lid too. Having an 00', it came with everythong I needed to hook up to stock air (?).

Toughest thing was getting the IAT sensor out of the factory lid.

It sounds different and feels like it makes more power faster.

$ 100 well spent

A few drops of liquid dishwashing soap helps with the IAT sensor/grommet - rinse and dry thoroughly before reinstalling. I know, too late now.

I agree, the intake lids are a great bang for the buck. You should notice a little more air sucking sound under the hood, but I doubt you'll feel 10 extra rwhp on a car already making close to 300 stock...

I couldn't feel a difference when I put the Direct-Flo's on either of my LS1's...

Definately don't go cutting things!

It'll come out if you undo the two clamps fore and aft the MAF sensor itself. Just be patient and keep working at it as mine was VERY tight on the stock stuff and it was a bit of a pain to get it off the first time. It'll come.

Good luck man.

Take a small flat blade screw driver and pry the sides off one at a time. Work around each corner a little at a time and both sides will pop right off.

Pry between the rubber/plastic and the metal case of the MAF.
