Default oil change light

I just had my oil changed 300 miles ago..and it was 50 miles before 3000 sicne the last one. now my oil change light is coming on for a few minutes everytime i start the car..how can i reset this? i checked the oil level..and it was good..adn the oil was really clean.

did it come on since u got the oil changed or recently???if it was since it was changed, they prob forgot to reset the trip/oil. you can do this by turning on the ignition, and holding the trip/oil reset for 10 seconds. if it just started doing this, i would venture to say it is probably a sensor.

well i was due for my oil change...and I got there within 3000 miles since my last one....i've put 300 miles on it since that and now the light started to come on...but UI'll try what you said tomorrow...I noticed last time I got it done..the trip light was set to zero and this time it wasn't.

Yeah, if the trip wasn't set to zero, they didn't reset it.

Car running,
Car off,
Ingition turned to 'on' with car still off
Press and hold reset for 5-15 seconds
Oil light flashes, and you're done.
