Default maf and lid

A maf and lid you will surely gain hp and notice it, but i have heard that, that particular maf is troublesome with throwing codes on some cars or something.
Hopefully someone else will chime in, that knows more. If you get a lid, get a quality one, as some dont seal well and suck dirt.

I have't heard to many good things about there maf's evey once and a while someone has a good feedback. But since you have it i'd give it a shot and see how it does. Anyone happen to see the latest super chevy where they put a granatelli maf on a LT1 and gained 30+hp and like 22ft-lbs. This is an example of a good feedback but most mag are sponsered or get money for useing certain products such as granatelli. I beleive they did the baseline dyno with a dirty air filter which is why they got such good results. You should have seen this filter it looked like it was covered in mud and i believe thats why they got such good reults because they changed the filter not from the maf.

There are gains a few people have seen results its a real hit or miss thing. I would just swap it and see what happens if you start pinging take it off if not leave it. I'm not sure if you allready have a lid but if you don't just hook it to the stock intake system if you already have a lid you will need some fernco or something to hook it up you actually might need it with the stock system im not sure i don't really remember if there is any give to the stock intake but there was no way it was going into my lid so i just sliped some fernco over the lid and the maf.

Hi Folks
I have the ZO6 MAF (85MM) without a screen. It appears to work OK, I actually got a copy of a 2003 ZO6 tables and installed them in my PCM. The numbers appear to be normal but I am not sure that I gained or lost an performance. I did it because of the 90MM TB and intake - I could see having a 75MM MAF with that setup. I am not sure it helped or hurt. Remember most the folks will tell you not to waste your money on it but it is your call.

With your setup why would want the 85M MAF? - it appears you still have the 75M TB. no advantage and only problems

Yeah, unless you have a FAST 90mm intake, there's no reason to take off the stock MAF. It's your best MAF.

I put the SLP 85mm MAF on cuz I screwed my stocky up by descreening mine. With the SLP MAF there was a noticable difference compared to mine descreened one and the installation took about 5 mins. and haven't had any probs. since. I don't know if it fits well with the stock bellow but I went out & bought the cheap fernco one and it works fine.
