Default True Dual Owners Inside Please!

I have Lane TD w/ Pro Twisters dumped at the rear axle. I cant stand the drone no more. I still want to run my TD dumped but want another muffler, something not so damn bad. Can you someone give me some diffreent options? Dave

Have you looked into Magnaflow?

They seem to be one of the more "quiet" options.

Edelbrock 304ss mufflers. They are quiet, but have a great sound and no drone.

I think flowmaster makes the new "hush power" mufflers. They flow well and they keep the system relatively quiet.

I havent checked into anything yet. Will they fit without beating the hell out my car underneath? Like I said, I want to keep my duals dumped. Not too sure if they will quiet keep down that much resonance with it still being dumped.

Twisters are usually very good about not having any drone - depending on mods. If it's a heads/cam, or just a big cammed car - duals aren't going to be very quiet. Nothin off-road will be for that matter - unless you're killing power.

I am getting ready to swap out my bullets for a set of Borla XR-1's. I will post back when I get this done.

I have Magnaflow's, part number 10416. Very quiet when cruising, scream at WOT, and they have a very deep sounding idle.

Full size: Magnaflow 4x9, Edelbrock 304ss

Bullet size: Borla XR1, Dynomax Bullets BEFORE the x-pipe along with your Twisters out back.

FWIW, I've got 12" Spiral Flows and interior noise isn't that bad on mine. I'm sure your Twisters are longer than 12", so either you have a gutted car and it's a little louder, or you're a *****.

Magnaflow 4x9's are the quietest that flow well enough as far as I can tell. XR'1's are suppose to do pretty good with keeping interior noise levels down too.

I'm still running my dynomax bullets though. Might get a couple of the newly discovered powersticks. (3" inner dia, chambered mufflers)

Just about any muffler you run will drone if it is dumped right onto the ground. Dont point your tips directly towards the ground. Most of the drone is from the exhaust beating off teh ground and coming back up and hitting the underside of the car. That helped mine. Turn them out a little. And real muffler will help to, got to toss that "race muffler" ****. I love mine, only a weekend driver though!!
