Default Pacesetters lts y-pipe sounds like it leaks does your?

Okay i have some pacesetter lts and some magnaflow cats welded in the y-pipe. The y-pipe is clamped to the headers with some rtv. It appears not to leak it sounds like it does. Does your sound like that?

Is it normal

Many longtube headers give the impression that they are leaking by the way they sound. I installed the same set you speak of on a 01 WS6 we thought it was leaking but on a lift couldnt find anything.

headers just give sort of a leaky exhaust sound. You can usually tell if there is a leak though.

My jet hot Y pipe leaked, even with band clamps. I could feel the leak when the car was idling, and see the carbon build up around the leak.

Just get down there and look.

You can normally hear a leak if there's a "tick tick tick" sound that only appears when your engine is loaded (i.e. hitting the gas).

If it's a tick tick tick that's always there, and coming from the engine bay, it's just the extra valvetrain noise from the thinner metal in the headers.
