Default Header Headache Suggestions

My passenger side collector keeps leaking! I have the mods in my sig, and exhaust consists of Hooker coated shorty headers (smog legal), coated y-pipe (not sure of brand), 3" stainless pipe back to SLP muffler. The Hookers have those ball-type collectors and the flange on the y-pipe is somewhat out of shape from having to re-tighten the loosening bolts. I worked the flange somewhat back into shape and applied some ultra-black silicone and it held for about 15 minutes before it began leaking again. I'm wondering if I either didn't let the silicone cure long enough or if there is just too much pressure in the exhaust for that silicone. FYI - the silicone said that it sets in 1 hr and fully cures in 24 hrs. I let it set about 14 hrs outside in 90 degree heat. A local muffler shop also suggested I remove my Cat to relieve some pressure. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
