Default Cut-Out AirBox

Anyone have any experience with cutting-out the bottom of their airbox? Pros? Cons? Effect? I'm considering doing this with an SLP lid and K&N.

The only con I've noticed is you have to clean your airfilter more often.

Yep you will need to clean the K N more often you can expect .10 in the 1/4 mile with FRA and a lid. Add a cut-out and yould see more. Its worth the time to do it.

that would be 0.1 in the quarter mile, as .01 isn't worth crap.

Cool. I appreciate it, guys. I'll do that as soon as I have time, although after reading a few posts, I don't think that I'm going to use a K&N again - oil on the MAF.

not sure how much it really helps but it's easy to do and only takes a few minutes. Like everyone said your air filter will get dirty alot faster.

If the FRA makes your airfilter get dirtier quicker, then it must be working? Correct?
