Default pacesetter f-body AIR tube probs? egr too?

helping w/ cam/headers on buddies 99 SS, cam install went together w/ no glitches other than the pita oil pump p/u bolt(i'm from the used to the c5 stuff), got the ss onto the lift, pc'ers bolted right in after sawzalling the casting on the dr. side of block, installed the plugs, wires, packs, then the AIR tubes are 180 deg off, why? i could cut the fittings on the oem side and use hose to hook them up or mill block off plates on the brideport(uncle has one), but don't want to throw codes for emmis test; same deal w/ egr, way off thanks for the help

This is common on ET style related headers, doesn't matter on the brand, but alot of PS LT's have this problem.

i think the headers are for the 00-02 f-bodies, i know the c5 AIR system runs 97-2000 and 2001-2004, prolly the same deal and psetter just put the wrong headers in the right box, what's 'ET' style headers?

I had the same problem with my hooker headers on a 2000. I ended up yanking the EGR and Air off. I was tired from the header install and I have an upcoming install with an LS6 intake (non-egr) anyways.

Not sure what's up-I installed mine a week ago and the AIR was simple to hook up with the supplied gaskets and bolts. The hoses/check valves had sufficient reach to bolt up with no problems. Pretty much the same with the EGR, although I did unbolt it from the engine and pull the tube out of the intake so I could bend the line to the header easier. The AIR tube on the pass side does provide a little interference to change the #4 plug.

Hmmm.Maybe the 2000-2002 headers are different. Never took a close look at the 99 setup before.

Yeah CT you can get it the codes tuned out to pass emissions. Thats what i gotta do my 98z i put a 04 Z06 motor in my car. I bought Pacesetter's LT's Race Style i took out my A/C, Air, and EGR so far its only showing 1 code thats for EGR. But so far i am only able to find 1 place here in CT that can tune cars thats EastSide Performance.
