Default Headers on a 408? Need some help

Hello everyone,
I will be building my 408 motor soon for boost and i was wondering what size headers to get...i bought a kit that uses shortie headers and i have 1 5/8 headers but i was thinking that they wouldnt be large enough for a 408. Maybe 1 3/4?? Also who would sell a shortie header in the size i need for a 99 camaro??

Thanks
~Tom

If it's a turbo kit, ask some of the members of the Forced Induction section, they can answer questions quicker.

i dont think it would really matter what size you use,as the turbine is the biggest exhaust restricter on a turbo any way.
most of the kits here in australia are using standard manifolds for there turbo kits and making the sort of power that you desire.
