restrictor plates cause SES light WTF!!
installed restrictor plates and now i have a P0135 codes coming up. whats up with that??? i didnt change out the check valves so i dont know if that has anything to do with it. And also its still got that annoying ticking. I thought this was suppose to get rid of the pissy tick, and on top i have a SES light. what should i do to get rid of both???!!!

I did the restrictor deal (to see if the ticking was
my AIR checkvalves; it wasn't) and got an AIR
system SES light. I reset it and removed the
restrictors as they weren't doing anything.
I expect they are simply -too- restrictive and
the AIR system becomes ineffective and gripes.
You could enlarge the orifice or, if it had a
similar lack of effect for you, just remove them.
Personally I prefer the idea of non-emissions
headers and complete AIR system removal. But
you may have a government problem that we
don't.

I didn't get rid of it, I just sort of quit caring.
A slightly louder exhaust helps.
