TSP Catback
What are the general opinions on the TSP catback. Is it really any different than the SLP LM II with the new bullet muffler? Is it a good deal for the price?
I plan on having LT headers installed soon and I was wondering how the sound is?

It is louder than flowmaster and its got a nice tone to it, it's not deep at all but it screams like a BEAST at WOT !!!! Most important it's not as obnoxious loud as a loud mouth, and the price is great, but for me it's a little to quite at idle, I had a flowdisaster before and it was louder at idle and it was deep. I liked my Rumbler at the beginning, but now I'm trying to find a way to make it a little louder but with nice deep, throaty sound that it's missing.

yes it is and I think that TSP rumbler is from aluminized steel.

it sounds awesome on stock manifolds....somewhat quiet in the car at idle..same for cruising..but at wot...nice and loud. I'm gonna get some pacesetter lts soon. plus..for 200 bucks...you can't beat it.

Rumbler is aluminized steel, on mine, it's slightly louder than stock@ idle, and it sounds great when you go WOT, it does have a little drone @1800-2000 RPM, but nothing the radio won't drown out. It's easy as hell to install, took all of 10 min (after stock exhaust was gone)
It's certainly cheaper than the LM/LMII, the aluminized steel IMO isn't a concern (has the same stuff on my IROC, and it lasted 10 yrs no rust), so for price and sound it's a good buy IMO
Besides if you eventually want to change it it's better to throw away $200 than $350 (or more)

I have the LMII and the sound is noticably deeper that the dynomax bullet in its place. I have heard both systems side by side and i can tell you there is a difference.

I am looking for the deepest sound without any rasp or drone. Any ideas other than TD's?

in my opinion, the rumbler or either of the LM systems should NOT be used with LT's and off-road pipes.
on stock manifolds, these systems sound great. throw an ORY into the equation and you have rasp rasp rasp.
your better off with any type of chambered muffler with LT + ORY as far as sound goes.
imho, fwiw
