Exclamation !EGR Guys - In Here!

I had a local shop here in NC install my cam, and at the same time !EGR and !AIR, amongst other things.

Check out the attachment.

The plug that went into the EGR Unit is still in the engine bay, now just hanging there because it has nowhere to go. What did you all do with yours? I certainly don't want to look at it anymore!

Any Suggestions? Pictures too.

I sealed it up really good with electrical tape and taped it back to the wiring harness.

i jsut taped it up too. i might try to go into the harness and cut it out but doubtful i will.

EGR is exhaust gas return. it is the thing on thepassenger side of the front of the motor that goes from the intake to a solenoid to the passenger exhaust manifold.

I just removed it on my wife's car. I cut the plug off and left all the wires at different lengths. Then I used telephone splice connectors to crimp the end of each wire. The splice connectors are small enough that you can tuck them inside the plastic wire harness outer shell and they are filled with silicone so nothing will ever get inside the connector. Doing it this way completely hid the existence of the old connector. The attached picture is the splice connectors I used. I don't remember where I got them, but I know Radio Shack has them here. http://www.radioshack.com/product.as...uct_id=64-3080
I'm sure you can get them cheaper if you look around a bit.
