SLP Fan Switch and T-Stat
I've read all the search results and am still a little indecisive on whether or not I should buy both. Some people say leave the stock tstat and just get the switch because our ls1's have no prob runnin stock temps. Does anyone have any input?
Thanks in advance

If it was me, I wouldn't buy either. You can make a manual fan switch yourself (do a search on here and you'll find good directions), and I won't put a cooler T-stat in MY car simply because I believe our engines need a good amount of heat to be able to burn off sludge. My car has no problems running with the stock thermostat here in FL...then again, I have tuning software that let's me do everything I need to do to ensure the engine is running its best.

If you get a tune, a switch won't be necessary. Just have them lower the fan temps.
It also depends on what kind of tune you are getting...I personally don't trust anyone other than a private tuner to touch my PCM. That's why I do it all myself. I read about too many effects-based tuning jobs that don't quite cut it with me...

I'm an HPTuners guy...$650 for the software (I got the enhanced Input/Output to be able to log data from my wideband), and I run an LC-1 wideband full time ($200-ish). Not cheap at all, and there is a rather steep learning curve. EFI's Flashscan is also good tuning software.

if you want to cool the engine make sure that there is water pushing through the radiator at the temps that you want. that means different thermsotat settings. personally i shimmed my t-stat way down first (1 hr job) and then tuned the fan cut-on at the right temp. no problems warming up, no problems running cool.
