from your sig it seems as if you don't have headers...when I got my long tube headers I got the "race" headers (non-emission style) I simply removed all of the EGR stuff and didn't need to plug any holes in my headers. However, since my car is a 2000 and it has the LS1 intake I had to get a freeze plug from AutoZone to plug up my intake.

As far as removing the AIR system there is a write up somewhere online that shows you how to remove it

edit: here is the link

i used a freeze plug on my intake, and cut a steel plate for where the egr pump was(till i got some aftermarket headers), the air pump is under the driver's side headlight there is a panel from underneath the car to get to it.

It's a 1 3/8" freeze plug. Attached are a couple pictures showing it on my wife's 2000 SS. You can get it at Autozone for about $2.00 or $2.50.
