I guess thats the only way, but its pretty rare to see a rental company with Camaro's (LS1's). I do see a lot of vette rentals places though, that would work... Hell thats a good idea actually. I wish that this crossed my mind before I bought an LS6 manifold.

I know how to put an LS6 intake on a earlier model, but not how to put a LS1 intake on a later car. You'd have a hole where the EGR goes into the intake..... I'd think you'd set an SES light somewhere?
I'm sure it can be done, but damn, that's pretty desperate to save a few hundred bucks
