FTRA, pretty good.
I got around to installing this today, seemed like a well constructed piece but it was kind of a PITA to get in. I also did not see how the included foam weather stripping was supposed to seal the box. I completely sealed it my own way. The lid also is a bit tougher to fit but goes on with some work.
On startup and giving it a few revs, the first thing I noticed is that all of the whistling and sucking sounds that were coming from the intake are gone. I guess that's a good sign that I'm only drawing air from the FTRA opening and that the box is sealed. It definitely makes for a quieter intake. Acceleration at higher gears in lower rpms seemed to be better along with high speed hard acceleration at WOT. I did a 70-110 WOT blast and it pulled pretty good. I can't wait to get to the track and see what gains I get from this.
I feel it was a worthwhile mod.
