Default Do true duals rattle your interior?

My cutout that dumped under the rear passenger seat did a number on my console as far as making it rattle. Will true duals do the same thing? Is it better to have the turndowns or not, as far as interior noise and vibrations?

My car hits a lil on the rear when I go over bumps. My car is lowered though. They punded up the floor pan under the rear seats to give extra ground clearance and eliminate rattling.

My 2.5" X Pipe, 12" Twisters, turn down/outs are very mild inside the car.

The Bullets I had on mine would vibrate stuff pretty good, due to the resonance. Since I did the ST swap though, I haven't noticed any vibration. That and I remembered that I had a radio!

Duals will make many more vibrations than a single cutout, naturally. This is one of the reasons I ditched mine, along with the poor ground clearence. Make sure you get the turn downs to angle out the side at much as possible without burning stuff, this will greatly reduce the interior resonance.

My true duals over the axle did not rattle anything before the cam. After the cam install but untuned the interior resonates more but doesn't rattle.

Only if you leave change in the cup holder. Seriously - you will probably find some 'loose' interior pieces after true duals.

my duals rattle, but i think is more motor mount oriented, because it twists that much that the driver side header would touch the lower pan...

what is the ST swap?

Maybe I should be more specific, true duals that dump before the axle, do they rattle your interior?

I had bullet mufflers on my 2 1/2" X pipe setup on my previous camaro and yes they did rattle the interior a little, and make sure all the change is out of the console or it would rattle like crazy. They were a little too much for the long trips (when she rode with me she would hate how she couldn't hear the radio)...but that comes with a high flowing performance exhaust

Mine only rattles in the morning when I fire it up, but after it warms up, no more rattles. I have my turndowns at a 45* angle, so that helps.

The exhaust system should not rattle at all - at any time. I was talking interior pieces, etc....

Swap to the Sweet Thunder Mufflers. I recently swapped to those and pointed the turndowns at a 45*, and it killed all the rattles. Still resonates, but only about 10% of what the Bullets did. Like I posted above, I can hear my radio now.

I highly recommend Sweet Thunders. You won't be disappointed.

Mine were dumped straight down (3" with 1-chamber Flows) and it'd drive you nuckin' futs in 6th gear around 70mph.
