Hookers Vs others.
Hey guys i was asking myself, im in a low budget to spend on my car, im looking to get some headers, yes people say QTP and KOOKS are the best, but what about hooker and pacesetter? isnt a longtune header...a longtube header, is it really worth spending the extra $$$ for a couple more horsepower? fill me in here guys what do u guys think? because if i need to buy the good quality header i will.

Peoples biggest draw towards Kooks and QTP is that they are 304 stainless steel. People with Pacesetters, Hooker, Jet Hot, ect. all say they love them but a few years down the road may experiance the coating wearing off. Jet Hots coating seems to be much stronger than other companies coatings. Quality isnt an issue with the brands I listed. All very good brands.

I had the Hooker LT's and the coating was flaking off after 6 months. The AIR Tube broke off because of the crappy weld and had to remove the headers to have them repaired. What a PITA. When the flange was welded to the primaries, there was a lot of slag in the pipes. They were pooly welded and it showed less than two years after they were installed. I ended up ditching those and bought QTP's. These are a work of art. The welds are very good with no slag in the primaries. The QTP's fit better and will never rust. Get the QTP's or Kooks and be done with it

Pacesetter Coated LT's here and couldn't be happier...Less than $400 shipped to my door in less than 24hrs from Texas Speed.
Easier to install than the Throttle Body not really but easiest header install i've ever done!
