What does a flashing check gauges light indicate?

What does a flashing check gauges light indicate? Not my car, and it's not the SES light. It's the red check gauges light, any ideas? Car runs rough too.

Oddly enough, make sure the gas cap is fully tightened... Check the owners manual too, I believe it lists a couple reasons why the "Check guages" light would flash, instead of staying on constant...
