Question What dimensions XR1 to get rid of rasp/drone?

I had no problems before the slightly bigger headers, LSX, and bigger cam but now I have a rasp/interior-drone problem. I have a 3" Kooks Y-pipe.

It's gonna be going in the I-pipe.

Which of the following must I use? Don't wanna have fitment issues, and obviously I'd like to go with the biggest inlet/outlet muffler possible so as not to hinder flow too much.

http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...h.asp&x=12&y=7

40944, 40943, 40086, 40640, or other suggestion XR1?

I don't know which one everyone uses since I haven't seen part numbers posted and only one inlet/outlet measurement posted (3 in 3 out). I'd like to use that one

Thanks!

Christopher

I already get floor-board banging now

I won't have drive-shaft clearance issues with this muffler will I?

I have a Lingenfelter 3 1/2" drive-shaft Needed it for safety issues when I do my 60 - 200 video

I am running this one, too...mine does also bang the floor a bit...I "massaged" a little clearance in the floorboard, but it still makes slight contact at times. You can see the setup in this pic:

Damn thats a big muffler. I wonder if a twister would a achieve the same effect. They're a bit smaller, right?

You guys want the 40085: http://www.eadperformance.com/catalo...roducts_id=311

You should be able to install it towards the back of the I-Pipe with out any issues.

Search for borlamouth for a soundclip of this muffler.

Whoo . . . I had to double check the above post and my order to make sure it was the same as the one you listed

Have you dyno'd your SS on a dyno other than a mustang? What was the A/F?

I'll bet that cam sounds like music to one's ears
