Broken exahust stud removal??

Default Broken exahust stud removal??

Well, I was one of many that fell victom to breaking exahust studs while removing the stock Y pipe, so what is the best method the getting those basterds out??

It doesn't matter, break all of them. Your not going to use them again. Even on a low mileage car your gonna break some

Well, I do need them. I removed the stock Y so I could drop my tranny, now I need to get the broken studs out and get new ones, so I can put the exahust back togather.

If you have to, just drill em out with a real good bit, and use a new bolt/nut. I had to do this when I did a header install, just drilled the ond one out and put a new one in. Good luck.

Thanks!! Yeah, I think the only way i'm going to get it out is drill it like you suggested. I put plenty of heat on it with a large pair of vice grips and I could only get it budge a little bit.
