Default Cylinder 7....which one is it......DUH

I just replaced my Alternator and am now getting a PO307 DTC. Which I see is misfire number 7 cylinder. For the life of me I cant find a picture that shows which one is number 7..............Sheesh.......... So I can at least check wires and such.

Any help please............?

Why would a alternator change cause that??............

make sure the plug wire is all the way on the plug, that is often the problem.

Thanks for the suggestion...

Its getting more complicated now............

At first I was reading the PO 307 code from my ScanMaster.

I finally took my Lap Top to the car with HP Tuners Scanner.

I cleared the original 307 code and waiting a couple of minutes and it was showing lots of misfires.........and finally a PO 300 Code and indicating cylinders 2 and 7 as the culprits. I did not want to let it run too long, so not sure if it will eventually show more cylinders.

Can any one shed some lite here. All this just started after I replaced the alternator. The voltage seems ok....about 13.7

IS it not a good idea to run the engine or drive the car with these codes ? and why?

Thanks in advance.

Originally it was showing msifire on 7 and 2. But primarily on 7.

I switched out the plugs and wires on the drivers side for new ones. Saving the passenger side for later, we all know why on an F body.......duh

So now it is showing misfire on 8 and 1..........primarily 8.........?

I have installed a new fuel filter, checked fuel pressure at fuel rail OK.

Listened to the Fuel injectors via a stethescope, they are clicking away.

The only plug that was fouled with fuel was 7 on drivers side anyway.

I am still worried about why this started right after I changed out the alternator CAnt ne coincidence??

HELP...........LOL
