Depends on what kind of driving you will be doing? Is this for a daily driver? Where do you live? Will you drive it through the snow? Roads that will have salt on them? These are all good questions because you would be fine for regular ps/without coating if you drove it like one sunny day of the year. But you might need stainless steel if you drive it through hard midwest winters.

Got my coated pacesettes shipped from TSP for less than $400 and they arrived in 24 hours...They are running a special right now $500 for both headers and ORY. I've been extremely pleased so far, and very easy to install. Personally i'd save the rest for a cam...

I have Pacesetters and I wish I would have coughed up the money for kooks or qtp. I say that because my AC has condinsation that drips right onto the passanger side collector and now it's starting to rust. The driver side header is great though. I'd only suggest you run non stainless headers is if you're going to remove the AC.

I got Pacesetter's....just moved from the rainiest part of the country (Pacific Northwest....rains for 7 months out of the year)on a daily driver with no problems whatsoever. No rust at all. Awesome header for the price and power was great. Huge difference at the track.

what if you wrap your headers in the that heat shield stuff will that also help to protect from rust, b/c i am thinking of getting coated pacesetters but dont want them to rust through. i live in kentucky up by cincinnati and it doesnt really snow alot like up further north but i dont want my new headers to get all F#$ked up.

I always wondered about coated headers how if the coating can flake off on the outside, what's to stop it from flaking off on the inside too and trashing your cats if you run a catted y?

Don't use the wrap. It'll rust the headers and if any oil gets on them, they go up in flames. Trust me..been there..had that happen when one got tranny fluid on it. But they make it significantly cooler under the hood. Just not worth rusting the headers up for it though.
