I would not mess with your MAF. On and unmodded car you may see a small gain. However on a modded car you might have some idle or surging issue. I did. I removed my SLP MAF and the problem went away. The stocker is good enough. I would spend your money on somthing else.

It's low return for the money spent, a voodoo mod
untuned and potentially a tuning hassle.
But in the spirit of "bigger is better" I have one and
have made it run just fine. On this beastly mid-13s
car it made zero difference at all. Tell you what,
if a 3" piece of pipe is holding you back and a 3.3"
piece of pipe is gonna make it all better, go for it.
The screen, now, that's another story. That comes
down to cylinder pressure vs cylinder foreign matter.
Depending on your hygeine and environment, losing
that might be helpful. Not "MAF ends" though. Stock
ends minus the screen. Junkyard ends should be
cheap enough, LT1 ends will swap on.
The stock MAF produces sensible readings over a
wider airflow range than the big ones. It's a better
matched instrument to the PCM for a mass huffing
machine. Pipe diameter aside. The 85mm are more
modern and top out lower. All well above where a
low mods motor will send it.
