Default exhaust question...

i have 98 ta a4 with hooker long tubes O/R pipe (no cats) and cutout. if i get a tr224 cam will the car get alot louder? will i need to cap up the cutout. If so should i just get a catback? I know its a matter of personal opinion. Just wanna hear what some people think.

With my heads/cam, the exhaust didn't get any louder. Maybe barely louder, but nothing noticeable.

It does sound WAY better though.

Drivetrain noise did about double though. At idle, outside the car, the exhaust used to be louder than the engine noise, now the engine noise is louder.

I have cats and a mild muffler though.

My car got WAY louder at idle after the cam, but the rest of the rpm range sounds the same.
