Default electric water pump question

are there enough losses for the mechanical waterpump to be worth replacing with an electric one? how many people have done so?

From what I have read in different forums, they struggle to provide enough flow for sufficient cooling above 4,500 RPM for prolonged periods. Have no personal experience with them so please keep that in mind. Read enough to keep me from trying one.

I did the the electric water pump in my LT1 before I got rid of it... I never had any problems with it and I would drive the hell out of that thing

My opinion, if it's an all out race car/weekend warrior, get the electric pump
If it's a DD/occasional track, stick with the belt driven
