Default kooks 17/8 headers

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW MUCH rwhp the kooks 17/8 to a 3 inch collecter is good for before moving up to the 1/78 stepped to 2 to 3 1/2 collecter?

For two inch to 3 1/2 collectors you should have a big cube race only engine. It's not a matter of hp but what kind of setup you have. You're talking about airflow dude.

If you're on stock cubes you're gonna noticed alot of low end power loss, also the 346ci doesn't push enough air to take advantage of those headers. Now if you're running a 400ci+ application with nitrous or a S/C then yes, or if you're running anything over 420ci all motor those would be nice.

As joblo said, it would more than likely be a race motor for stepped headers, you'd be better off with just 1 3/4 or if you have lots of mods and nitrous the 1 7/8 would be more suitable. To use stepped headers you need to push ALOT of air to take advantage of them.
